An oil and gas company with a crowded head office suffered from poor indoor air quality, resulting in a higher incidence of stress, illness and absenteeism. The poor air quality was attributed to fugitive odors from an adjacent business, and ozone and ammonia emissions from a print room.
A Pyure custom solution was installed in the ducts of 2 of the 12 floors for a 30 day pilot test. The solution was subsequently deployed on all 12 floors of the building.
The initial pilot was conducted for 30 days without the staff’s knowledge. Staff reported feeling better, being more alert and absenteeism went down on treated floors. Specific Volatile Organic Compound (VOC) on the treated floors was reduced more than fivefold after 30 days and was undetectable after 60 days.
